Clearwater Police made 13 arrests and evicted 12 people from an East Gateway motel during a warrant sweep early Friday morning. Police worked in partnership with the Florida Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Services and conducted the detail to round up wanted fugitives, according to a release. "We want to send a clear message that Clearwater is not a place to hide when you're facing felony charges," Clearwater Police Chief Anthony Holloway said in a release. The arrests resulted in more than 40 criminal charges. There also were 12 people evicted from the Budget Inn Motel and two narcotics arrests, according to police.
