Ceramics Win Big at 12th Annual SPC Student Art Show
Artist P.A. Kushner wins Best of Show with her ceramic piece "Tipping Point."
P.A. Kushner took top honors at the 12th annual SPC Student Art Show. More than 100 people crowded the Crossroads Gallery for the reception and awards ceremony Wednesday night. Kushner won $500 for her narrative totem, “Tipping Point.” A western-hat wearing woman sits laughing atop a book, a piece of cheese and a block of wood. She is holding a multi-colored hulahoop in her ceramic hands. “It’s about transformation and change,” Kushner said about the piece.
