The Barack Obama campaign volunteers in Pinellas County were overjoyed by the fact that their hard work for the presidential run paid off.
When the election was called in favor of President Barack Obama, the celebration started at the campaign office in St. Petersburg. "We won Pinellas County and we won the entire country. It's just amazing," said Mallory Stewart Robison, an Obama campaign volunteer. Obama's re-election didn't come as a given for any of the campaign workers, who put in months of hard work promoting Obama's mission, Stewart Robison said. "I've been (at the campaign office) so much, and it's hard to believe that it's actually over," Steward Robison said. NBC News called the presidential election for Obama around 11:15 EST. Florida votes were still too close to call Tuesday night, but Obama won the majority of votes in Pinellas County.

Longtime Clearwater resident Ken Dewese showed his support for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan during rush hour this week on U.S. 19.
Many passing drivers honked in support, while others gestured crudely. Ken Dewese seemed unfazed. Just days before the Nov. 6 General Election, Dewese held a homemade campaign sign, an American flag attached, in support of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as drivers stuck in Tuesday's U.S. 19 rush hour traffic slowly passed. The wind was so fierce at one demonstration that his other American flag broke off, he said, pointing to the splintered end of a wooden rod still taped to the back of his Romney-Ryan sign. Dewese, a more than 30-year Clearwater resident, waved for two hours alongside a dozen or so fellow demonstrators. He said he is inspired to demonstrate on the corner. "You make your donations, but you can't just sit around," Dewese said…

Subject: Political Vandalism Matt Rhoads, Campaign Manager Mitt Romney for President 2012 585 Commercial Street Boston, Massachusetts 02109-1024 Dear Mr. Rhoads, We are supporters of President Obama. We’ve demonstrated our political opinion by placing yard signage in the front yard of our home and a small sticker on the back window of our auto. Unfortunately, last night someone “vandalized” our property by removing the auto sticker and stealing the two yard signs. Previously, one of the plastic yard signs was “punched out” in an attempt to destroy the signage. We have to assume that this damage was done by political supporters of Governor Romney since he is the President’s main competitor in the upcoming election. We’re writing to ask you …
