Food Network's Restaurant Impossible Filming in Clearwater

Celebrity chef Robert Irvine is at Smitty's Restaurant in Clearwater this week for a taping of his show Restaurant Impossible.

Are you a fan of the reality show Restaurant Impossible? A Clearwater restaurant is getting a makeover from celebrity chef Robert Irvine, star of the Food Network show. Restaurant Impossible crews were working inside two large white tents set up in the parking lot of Smitty's restaurant on Monday afternoon. Smitty's is located at 4890 122nd Ave. N. In each segment of Restaurant Impossible, Irvine tries to help troubled restaurants by revamping the menu, identifying and fixing staff and management problems, and giving the restaurant a makeover using a $10,000 budget.
