Small Business Saturday Deals in Clearwater

We're compiling a list to help you find the best Small Business Saturday Deals.

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses their community thrives on. This year, Clearwater Patch is putting together a list of local Small Business Saturday deals.  If you are a small business owner, leave your deal in the comments section below, and it will be added to the list.  American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is great to support local small businesses that rely on neighbors like us in order to thrive. Coming Soon: Cork N Brew Bistro

The wine and beer bar is expected to open by year's end on north Clearwater Beach.

More craft beer is coming to Clearwater Beach. Cork N Brew Bistro is set to open before year's end on the 500 block of Mandalay Avenue at the base of the Sandpearl Resort on north Clearwater Beach, according to owner Jackie Eash. Eash grew up in Dunedin, graduating from Dunedin High School. After working and living on Clearwater Beach the last few years she decided it was time to open her own place. The bar features 20 craft beers on tap from local, Florida and international breweries and and about 40 bottles of wine - some of which can be sampled in Napa Technology Wine Tasting dispensers, Eash said. "It's a very fun, interactive system for people to use," Eash said. The bar also will offer small plates, desserts as well as a special late…

The Mom Who Votes and the Daughter Who Doesn’t

Harrison, 30, has worked on and off at Two Buks Saloon for the last 10 years. She just does not know enough about the election process to feel comfortable registering. And since she doesn’t vote, she doesn’t complain, she said. “I deal with it as it comes along,” said Harrison, a Palm Harbor resident. However, her ambivalence does stir the political pot with mom, Deb Sherbuk, who owns the bar and attached liquor store where Harrison works. “(Deb) hates the fact that I’m not a registered voter,” Harrison said. Deb proudly wore her “I Voted” sticker after spending more than two hours waiting in line at her …

The brew pub is looking to fill 120 full and part time positions Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the restaurant 26200 US Highway 19 N.

Like craft beer and looking for a job? Sea Dog Brew Pub starts hiring to fill 120 full and part time positions Tuesday Nov. 6 at the restaurant, 26200 US Highway 19 N, according to a post on the brewery's Facebook page. Florida's first Sea Dog Brewing Co. pub is coming to the former Pssghetti's building along U.S. 19 near Countryside Mall in November. The Sunshine State is one of the Maine-based beer maker's strongest markets, which led it to open the Sea Dog Brew Pub here. Being a brew pub means most of the beer is made onsite. Some beer still will come from Maine. The Sea Dog Brew Pub’s menu features local seafood and produce as well as traditional Northeastern favorites like Maine lobster and New England clam chowder. Call (727) 466-…
