'Ride & Run' to Help Sheriff's Christmas Sharing Project
"Ride & Run With The Stars" is set for Saturday, Dec. 1 at Fort DeSoto Park. Events start at 8 a.m., and registration will be open at 7 a.m.
The 19th annual "Ride & Run With The Stars" is a holiday fundraiser benefitting the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Christmas Sharing Project which provides food, clothing and toys to disadvantaged children, crime victims and families in need. "Ride & Run With The Stars" is set for Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Fort DeSoto Park. Events start at 8 a.m., and registration will be open at 7 a.m. There are cycling, running and walking events, as well as a silent auction, a climbing wall, Sheriff's Office displays, food, Christmas crafts for the kids, giveaways and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus who arrive at the Fort by the sheriff's helicopter. Participants also have a chance to win high quality bicycles and sports equipment. …
