"The way a violation is determined is if the vehicle enters the intersection after the light is red. If the vehicle is already in the intersection, that is not a violation (so if the front of the vehicle is over the stop line, it would not a violation. We have 4 violations," Clearwater Police said in a post with the video on its Facebook page April 18. If an initial notice of violation is not paid, it becomes a uniformed traffic citation and failing to satisfy that uniformed traffic citation would result in a suspension of the violator's drivers license for failure to pay a traffic fine. Brad, The timing is off because by Florida law it is allowed and according to many National Association including the Federal Department of Transportation it is below the amount needed to safetly stop your average 4 door sedan car.
