St. Petersburg Police say red light camera video footage shows the driver of a tour bus running a red light seconds before colliding with a Buick at a St. Pete intersection.
Virginia Frazier, 74, of Clearwater, is listed in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center after police say the driver of a tour bus ran a red light and hit her Buick Wednesday morning. The passenger, Eduardo Arana, 48, of Clearwater, was also taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, police say. According to a press release, police have video evidence from one of the red light cameras at that intersection indicating an MCI bus driven by David Watkins, of Minnesota, ran a red light before entering the intersection and colliding with the Buick as it made a left turn. Officials are not releasing the video at this time and are waiting for video from a different red light camera to determine the location of the Buick. Watkins …

A Clearwater man already in jail on drug charges was charged Wednesday, Oct. 31, for his involvement in a seven-car pile up that occurred in June at Enterprise and McMullen Booth Roads in Safety Harbor, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
A Clearwater man already in jail on drug charges was charged Wednesday, Oct. 31, for his involvement in a seven-car pile up that occurred in June in Safety Harbor, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Saeed Ali Williams ran two red lights in a white BMW before causing a seven-car pile up at the intersection of Enterprise and McMullen Booth roads in Safety Harbor around midnight June 1, according to investigators. Williams, 23, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injuries, aggravated fleeing and eluding and reckless driving resulting in injury, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. A car crashed through a Clearwater Blockbuster, stopping nearly in the middle of the building Friday night.
A car crashed through a Clearwater video store, stopping nearly in the middle of the building Friday night. Clearwater Fire and Rescue crews responded to the vehicle crash around 6:40 p.m. at the Blockbuster Video at 2045 Gulf to Bay Blvd. The adult female driver experienced a medical issue and apparently lost control of the vehicle," Elizabeth Watts, public safety spokeswoman, said in a release. The driver is being transported for evaluation, Watts said. There were no other vehicles involved and no one else was injured in the crash. Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, according to Clearwater Police investigators. Toxicology results are pending.
