Coming Soon: Convenience and Auto Parts Stores

A 7-Eleven and Advance Auto Parts stores are being built on the southeast corner of the intersection of Highland Avenue and Sunset Point Road.

Giants in the convenience and auto parts retail business are coming soon to a Clearwater intersection. A 7-Eleven convenience store is being built alongside an Advance Auto Parts at the corner of Highland Avenue and Sunset Point Road. The project is already underway.

Free Slurpees Today at 7-Eleven

Find out how to beat the heat with a frozen freebie.

The high today is expected to reach 91, but with the heat index it could feel like 98 in Clearwater! So a free, cold, thirst quencher may bring welcome relief. Participating 7-Elevens will give away free 7.11 ounce Slurpees between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. today while supplies lasts.  How many Slurpees can you drink? The convenience store expects to give away 7 million Slurpees today! 7-Eleven Day celebrates the 45th birthday of the retailer's popular drink and the 85th birthday of the convenience store. Robbery Suspect Charged In Additional Incidents

Thomas Delgado is now charged with a total of four armed robberies after Clearwater Police caught the suspect early Sunday morning.

Clearwater Police charged an armed robbery suspect caught Sunday morning with three additional crimes after linking the man to three other similar crimes committed since January. Thomas Delgado, 44, is now charged with four counts of armed robbery after walking into a 7-Eleven with a gun and demanding money from a clerk early Sunday morning. He is being held on $200,000 bond. Because of a rash of robberies, detectives, using crime analysis software, honed in on some areas of interest. They were on surveillance duty nearby when Delgado fled with a store bag full of money. During the course of their investigation, authorities believe Delgado also was involved in the previous robberies. Here is a breakdown of the other incidents:
