Skycrest Elementary, home of the Eagles, was built in 1952 as the area was increasing in population size. The school offers programs including Students Targeted for Achievement, Recognition and Success (STARS), Student Achievement Model (SAM), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Varying Exceptionalities (VE), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and gifted. Extracurricular activities include safety patrol, a science fair, a student-produced TV show, student council, multicultural awareness program, math club, chorus, strings program, recorder ensemble and art club. The school's' mission is "to provide a high-quality education to a diverse community where all are expected to learn."
