Quaker Steak & Lube

727-572-9464

Listing Manager: Hilliary A Smith

Quaker Steak & Lube is located on 49th Street North, near U.S. Highway 19 North. This restaurant got its start during the first gas crisis in 1974, when the owners converted an old gas station into a restaurant. The decorations are in keeping with the automotive theme, with vintage muscle cars and motorcycles hanging from the ceilings and walls, garage door-style windows, car seats serving as chairs for patrons and non-working gas pumps at the entrance. Car buffs might also note that the hostess stand up front is made from the hood of an old Ford Mustang. On the menu you'll find typical American comfort foods like chicken wings, burgers, flatbreads, soups, steaks and shrimp. The popular wings, which regularly top "Best of" lists, can be prepared the way you like them, from mild to "suicide." To learn more about the restaurant, visit the Quaker Steak & Lube website.
