Plumb Elementary, home of the pelicans, was named to honor Clearwater's first paid school teacher Jennie Reynolds Plumb. 

The school opened in 1966 and now serves nearly 850 students.

Plumb offers education opportunities for PreK through 5th grade and special education including Exceptional Student Education.

The school also offers the Gifted program, speech and language programs, Literacy Success, WPNN TV crew, Plumb Professional Players acting troupe, student council, Multicultural Committee, Plumb Tellers storytelling, the schoolwide Reading Counts and YMCA before and after care.

The school mission is "together, the faculty, staff, parents and community will help all students believe, achieve and succeed."
