Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a rescue, rehab and recovery center for injured marine animals such as turtles, otters, birds, fish, sharks and mammals. The star is Winter the Dolphin who has a prosthetic tail and is a permanent resident. The facility was closed for several months at the end of 2010 to film a Warner Bros major motion picture featuring Winter. This is a small facility and doesn't take long to see but it's a wonderful experience and a great educational opportunity for kids, who will never realize it because they are having too much fun.
