This Week in Clearwater: Reclaim Your Space, Pirate Camp, Cheap Gas

Here's a quick look at what's going on in Clearwater this week.

Reclaim Your Space

Monday is the last day to apply to design a public park inside the confines of a metered parking space along Cleveland Street. that will be transformed for a day into mini-parks.

"All parklets must be designed to promote love of Clearwater, recreation, green living, alternative transportation, or a combination of concepts," according to a release. Click here for an application. Call 727-562-4547 or email lauren.matzke@myclearwater.com.

Never Say Never Pirate Camp

Kids can party like a pirate at the Never Say Never Foundation Pirate Camp. Children with challenges will learn how to rig and sail different kinds of boats, study concepts of sailing and even dress as pirates. The camp is Oct. 11-13 at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, 1001 Gulf Blvd. Find out more here.

Cheap Gas

Start the week off right with a tank of the cheapest gas in Clearwater. A gallon of regular unleaded is $3.15 at Hess at 5798 and 2698 Roosevelt Blvd, according to tampagasprices.com.
