Five Things to Know Today

Free Wii, free tax help and working out on the beach are a few things Clearwater residents should know about today, April 2.

Learn where the cheapest gas is, working out on Clearwater Beach and free tax help are some of the highlights to start the work week for April 2.

1. Weather: The perfect weather continues both for spring breakers and residents alike. Per the National Weather Service, after dropping to a comfortable 72 overnight, expect a warm, sun-kissed day with a high of 82. There should be a pleasant breeze from the northwest of 7-10 mph.

2. Cheapest gas: No, gas isn't cheap. But a pair of stations are tied for the cheapest gas in Clearwater as of late Sunday per GasBuddy.com. Sam's Club at 2575 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. and Costco at 2655 Gulf to Bay Blvd. each have regular unleaded for $3.82.

3. Free tax help for seniors: The next two Mondays and Fridays, professional tax experts volunteer their time to help seniors with limited income prepare their taxes. The service is held at the Clearwater East Library, 2251 Drew St. For information call (727) 562-4970.

4. Yogalates on the beach: Hey, with this weather, who doesn't want to go to the beach? This is an excuse to get out there early this morning. A yoga and pilates session open to the public will be held on the beach just north of the , 1001 Gulf Blvd. on Clearwater Beach. The session begins at 8:30 a.m.

5. Free Wii: For seniors who wonder what in the world their grandchildren are talking about with Wii, the has the answer. At their center today at 10 a.m., located at 1204 Rogers St., a free seminar of Wii bowling will be offered. For information call (727) 442-8104.
