1. . This event is sponsored by neighbors helping a neighbor with medical and therapy expenses. Melissa was , Clearwater Police said, and survived. There will be a bloodmobile and plenty of activities and giveaways for everyone at the event.

  • When: 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 30
  • Where: Crest Lake Park, 201 S Glenwood Ave.
  • How much: Free. Donations will be accepted.

2. The Clearwater Threshers will take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers Friday. The first 1,000 fans will receive a camouflage Threshers jersey. Enjoy a para-commando jump before the game, military vehicles on display, video messages from service members, and more.

  • When: 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 29
  • Where: , 601 N Coachman Road
  • How much: $5 regular ticket. $15 ticket includes an all-you-can-eat buffet starting at 5:30 p.m.

3. Drive-In Creature Double-Feature. The will host a drive-in featuring "The Horror of Party Beach" (1964) and "Cat-Women of the Moon" (1953) on Saturday afternoon. There will be trivia, games, and prizes. The event is co-sponsored by the Ruskin Family Drive-In.

4. Operation Shred. The Clearwater Police Department is partnering with ProShred, local news media, and other partners to bring you Operation Shred. Take this opportuntiy to shred personal documents and protect your identity. Bring up to five boxes of documents for free shredding. This event is intended for residential use.

  • When: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30
  • Where: , 27001 U.S. Highway 19 N
  • How much: Free

5. "The Princess Bride." Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine presents this film event at Ruth Eckerd Hall this Sunday. This fairy tale will feature a swordplay, giants, an evil prince, and even a kissing scene.
