Threshers Open Season With Fireworks Against Dunedin Blue Jays

The Threshers start the season with a game against the Dunedin Blue Jays Friday at Bright House Field.

The Threshers look to pick up where they left off last season, with a win against the Dunedin Blue Jays.

The team opens its 10th minor league season at home against its cross-town rival Friday at Bright House Field. A fireworks display is planned for after the game.

It is manager Chris Truby’s second season as manager. The Threshers missed the playoffs by one game in 2012.

The Threshers roster features eight players who spent some of the 2012 season in Clearwater including pitcher Perci Garner, 7-9, 4.84 ERA, and second baseman Carlos Alonso who batted .278 with 40 RBIs.
