Week 3:
Sat., Sept. 22 Conservation Strategies for 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM
Sustainable Ecosystems
8:15 – 12:00 Field Trip at Cross Bar Ranch, Brooksville (location accessible through special permission only); Field Trip is within a one-way, 2-hour drive of mid-Pinellas County
Enjoy a buggy tour through an important regional well field that is also a working cattle ranch and has planted/harvested pine tree forest that is rich with wildlife and plant biodiversity including Florida scrub jay, turkey, gopher tortoise and Sherman’s fox squirrel.
