Whitaker is homeschooled and often volunteers in the community to help others. With her older sister, Whitaker created hundreds of handmade cards for seniors at a local nursing home. She has also taught art classes at her mom's local art space.
Whitaker's creativity also includes music. Though she's only been playing piano for two months, Whitaker's music teacher said she is a natural talent and is excelling at the instrument.
