Hundreds Come Out For Free Trees

The city gave away hundreds of trees in honor of Arbor Day Saturday. Did you get one?

Did you get your two free trees from the city Saturday?

While nearly 800 residents did, the city still had hundreds of trees remaining, officials said.

"The leftover trees will be planted throughout the city," said Joelle Castelli, city spokeswoman.

The including live oak, American elm, red cedar, bald cypress, southern magnolia, red maple, slash pines, Walters viburnum and three colors of crape myrtles to residents.
