Country at a Crossroads, Romney Supporter Says

Kiely Allen is at a crossroads.

Allen is involved in politics for the first time because she believes this year's election is important in shaping the country’s future.

She does not agree with the policy and mindset that's developed in the country over the last four years. That is why she came to see afternoon as she campaigned on behalf of her husband, Mitt Romney.

“I’ve never been to anything like this before,” Allen said as she walked across the parking lot toward the front doors after parking black Mercedes SUV. “Nothing on the presidential level.”

Allen lives in Harbor Oaks and found out about the speech in an email from the Women For Mitt group.

Allen said she missed Ann Romney’s speech at the Republican National Convention and is looking forward to seeing and hearing her live.

Allen, a mother of seven, said Romney appears very intelligent and respects her commitment to her maternal responsibilities.

She said she is supporting Romney like she does most Republicans.

Allen said fiscal responsibility and accountability are vital to fixing the nation's economy, and a leader with a business background can be an important asset.

“These people don’t have to do this (run for office/politics),” Allen said.
