Clearwater Attorney Suspended for 10 Days

The Florida Supreme Court found that the attorney had "overcompensated" himself as trustee for the estate of a close friend.

A Clearwater attorney has been suspended for 10 days by the Florida Supreme Court.

Tampa Bay Business Journal is reporting that Elihu H. Berman of Clearwater was found to have "overcompensated himself" while serving as trustee in the will of a close friend.

Other attorneys facing disciplinary action by the Florida Supreme Court are:

  •  Scott Alan Hunter of St. Petersburg, suspended for 91 days and placed on three-year probation. He pleaded no contest to DUI and discharging a firearm in public, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reports. 
  • Todd Hudson Seiden of Tampa, suspended for 91 days, for taking fees without rendering services.
