Police Seeking Shooting Suspect

Police are asking for help to find a suspect who shot a woman riding her bicycle late Sunday night.

A woman in her 30s was shot and killed while riding a bicycle near Palmetto Street and Fairburn Avenue late Sunday night.

And police are looking for leads to find the suspect, according to officials.

The victim's name will be released after next of kin is notified, police said.

Clearwater Police were called to the scene after 11 p.m. by Clearwater Fire and Rescue.

Medics tried to resucitate the woman, who remained unresponsive, according to investigators. She was taken to where she was pronounced dead.

She was shot once in the upper body. It is not believed the woman knew the shooter, police said.
