A Clearwater man is accused of taking a phone, money and a car from a woman, according to arrest affidavits from Largo Police.

Jeffrey Thomas Macyowsky, 49, of Clearwater, is accused of entering a Belcher Road residence and taking a phone, money and car and pushing a female resident into a bedroom and attempting to remove her clothing, Largo Police said.

According to an arrest affidavit, the woman tried to "break free" and go into a living room. She saw Macyowsky "looking at the cash in her purse. (The victim) stated she believed (Macyowsky) wanted to rape her, and she told him to take her money instead," the affidavit states.
