Police Need Public's Help to Nab North Greenwood Shooting Suspect

Clearwater Police have identified the suspect from Friday's shooting as Kwuashawn Wyche, 16, of Palmetto Park Apartments in Clearwater. His whereabouts are unknown, and he is believed to still be armed.

Clearwater Police are asking the public for help to find a teen suspect wanted in connection to a shooting incident on Engman Steet Friday that sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Kwuashawn Wyche, 16, who lives at the Palmetto Park Apartments, is wanted on charges of attempted felony murder in connection with the incident, according to investigators Sunday.

Wyche's current whereabouts are unknown, and detectives are asking the public for help to find and take him into custody. He is believed to still be armed.

"Wyche was involved in a physical altercation with an adult male on Engman Street near Holt Avenue," according to a media release. "At some point during the fight, Wyche brandished a firearm and shot the male, who sustained life-threatening injuries. The victim is still being treated for his injuries in an undisclosed Tampa Bay area hospital."

Wyche, 16, is described as 5-foot 5-inches tall, 150 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He goes by the nickname "Jersey." His address is listed 1001 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., No. 604, in Clearwater.
