Pedestrian Struck, Killed on McMullen Booth Road

A pedestrian trying to cross a darkened McMullen Booth Road near the Chi Chi Rodriguez golf club was struck and killed this evening.

A pedestrian trying to cross a dark McMullen Booth Road was struck and killed by a vehicle at roughly 8:37 p.m. tonight near the Chi Chi Rodriguez golf club, 3030 McMullen Booth Road.

Clearwater police report the pedestrian was trying to cross from the west side and made it to the curb along the east side of the busy road when the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian did not use a crosswalk or was crossing at an intersection.

Name of the victim will be released once the victim's family is notified.
