Memorial Service Planned for Deputy Killed in Motorcycle Accident

The memorial service for Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Shoulta will be Thursday in Clearwater.

The announced the visitation and service arrangements for Deputy Jason Shoulta.

Shoulta had been with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office since March 3, 1999. He was currently assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau. He has also served as a Bailiff in Court Security and was a member of the SWAT Team, among other assignments, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Before coming to Pinellas County Shoulta served as a police officer in Kentucky and in the Air Force.

The visitation for Shoulta will be on May 3 from 1 until 3 p.m. with a service to follow at Countryside Christian Church, 1850 McMullen Booth Road. 

At the Shoulta family's request there will be no funeral procession after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch.

Shoulta is survived by his parents John and Imogene Shoulta and his children Jeremy Coningford and Katie and Kyle Shoulta. He was predeceased by his daughter Amanda.

He is also survived his fiance Robbin Belzer, her children and many other relatives. 

Shoulta family members have expressed their gratitude to the community and the sheriff's office for the outpouring of sympathy and assistance during this difficult time.
