Man Charged With Raping, Impregnating 12-Year-Old
Cesar E. Alcivar is charged with capital sexual battery, Clearwater Police report.
A Clearwater man was arrested and charged with raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl, Clearwater Police reported Wednesday.
Cesar E. Alcivar, 39, faces a charge of capital sexual battery after authorities say he "had sexual interaction with the victim multiple times during the past year," beginning when she was 11 years old.
The girl had complained of stomach pains, public safety spokesperson Elizabeth Watts said, and her mother took her to the hospital, where doctors discovered she was pregnant. The hospital contacted the Clearwater Police Department, which began an investigation.

The alleged crimes occurred at an undisclosed location in the city of Clearwater, which officials have not released to protect the victim's identity.
Alcivar was booked into Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday.
