Gas Leak Closes Part of Fort Harrison Avenue

Construction crews were working in the area and broke a gas pipeline.

A gas leak near Pinellas Street and S Fort Harrison Avenue detoured traffic downtown Tuesday afternoon. 

Construction crews were working in the area and broke a gas pipeline, according to Rob Shaw, Clearwater Police spokesman.

The roads were reopened around 12:40 p.m.
