Elderly Hit and Run Victim Dead
An elderly man who called 911 for help after being hit by a car while walking his dog March 20 died recently. Police still are looking for the suspect driver.
An elderly man died recently.
Clearwater Police and paramedics from Clearwater Fire and Rescue found Edward Ortwein, 78, laying in the road near the intersection of South and East Drive after he was hit by a car, according to investigators.
He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with life threatening injuries. He died as a result of those injuries June 9 at , according to Clearwater Police.

There is no information on the suspect or vehicle. Clearwater Police are asking the public for information that could lead to either.
