Dead Body Found Near Gas Station on Gulf to Bay

Clearwater Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a homeless man found near an abandoned gas station on Gulf to Bay Boulevard Monday afternoon.

Investigators are on scene at 1840 Gulf to Bay Boulevard after a call came in about a man laying on the west side of the building about 3:43 p.m., said Rob Shaw, Clearwater Police spokesman.

The identity of the man, who suffered upper body trauma is not yet known. How long he has been dead is also not yet determined, Shaw said.
