Clearwater Man Dies in I-275 Motorcycle Crash

Randall Dean Shoutd, 46, was exiting at 118th Avenue North when he struck a barrier wall and was thrown from his vehicle.

A Clearwater man has died after he was thrown from his motorcycle while exiting Interstate 275 on Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Randall Dean Shoutd, 46, was exiting I-275 North at 118th Avenue North when he lost control of his 2006 Suzuki and struck the inside barrier wall, investigators said.

Shoutd was ejected from the vehicle onto the left shoulder of the roadway, and his motorcycle came to rest at the end of the off ramp.

He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash, the FHP reports. 

The initial report did not indicate if Shoutd was wearing a helmet.
