Clearwater Lifeguard Charged With Sex With Minor

Victor Emmanuel Santiago-Rodriguez, 20, was fired by the city after he was charged with engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A 20-year-old Clearwater city lifeguard was fired after he was charged with engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Clearwater Police arrested Victor Emmanuel Santiago-Rodriguez on June 22 at the , where the Times reports he had worked for two weeks, citing city records.

The Times reports Santiago-Rodriguez engaged in a sexual relationship with the girl for nine months after meeting at the apartment complex where they both live, but that no sexual acts occurred at the North Greenwood complex, according to police.

Santiago-Rodriguez was charged with lewd and lascivious battery. He was released from Pinellas County Jail after posting $20,000 bond.
