Update: Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run That Killed Bicyclist

The 28-year-old woman was riding her bike on US 19 after midnight on Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Update May 16, 5:45 p.m.:

The Florida Highway Patrol and Pinellas County deputies arrested the man they say was the driver of the Hyundai. Christopher Jones, 24, of Tarpon Springs was arrested pending the final outcome of the investigation into the crash.

A 28-year-old Clearwater woman riding her bicycle on U.S. 19 died from her injuries after being struck by two vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Narissaa Jo-Ann Robinson was riding her bike at 12:42 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 19 N, according to investigators. As she approached 298th Avenue North, she was struck by a white 2005 Hyundai car. The Hyundai then fled the crash scene.

Ejected onto the roadway, Robinson remained there for a short period of time and was run over by a 2012 Mercedes driven by Shereef Adel Moawad, 49, of Palm Harbor.

She was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The Hyundai was located by law enforcement, and with the assistance of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, an unsuccessful attempt was made to find the hit-and-run driver. 

Robinson was identified Thursday after next of kin were notified. No charges are pending against Moawad.
