Armed Bank Robber Still at Large

Clearwater Police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery at PNC Bank on Gulf to Bay Boulevard on Saturday afternoon. The suspect, described as a white male wearing all black clothing, reportedly fled in a red car, authorities report.

Authorities are still searching for a suspect involved in an armed bank robbery on Saturday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with medium build and reportedly fled in a red car, authorities report.

The suspect reportedly entered PNC Bank, 2498 Gulf to Bay Blvd., brandishing a silver handgun, according to a news release. He wore all black clothing and a black scarf around his neck, which he pulled up over his face once he entered the bank.

He reportedly ordered everyone to the floor, and then told bank employees not to hit the alarm and to hand over $100, $50 and $20 bills, according to Clearwater police. Two cashiers put an undisclosed amount of money on the counter and the suspect grabbed it and put it into a bag, according to police. 

He fled in a red car located in the lot next door.

Surveillance video at a nearby business captured the suspect running behind , 2456 Gulf to Bay Blvd., and , 2436 Gulf to Bay Blvd.
