Five Things to Know Today

Celebrate the 17th year of the Downtown Farmer's Market, get a free pass to the YMCA, Dolphin Tale is up for an award and there is more going on in Clearwater Wednesday (Feb. 8).

Like always being prepared, here are some other things to start the day:

1. It could be a good day to fly a kite. Expect up to 10 mph winds and a high near 76, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Celebrate the Downtown Farmer's Market 17th year with cake. The 500 block of Cleveland Street is closed from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. for the weekly festival. Grab lunch, a snack or ingredients for dinner from vendors offering fresh foods and other items.

3. Legendary boxing trainer Angelo Dundee's funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at , 1850 N McMullen Booth Road. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dundee, who died at age 90 Feb. 1, trained boxing great Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard.

4. OK, so Winter was not nominated for an Academy Award. But Dolphin Tale, the movie based on her life, is up for a Genesis Award for feature film given by the Humane Society of the United States. The award honors major news and entertainment that raises awareness to animal issues. The awards are given March 24 at the Beverly Hills Hilton in Beverly Hills.

5. Still keeping that healthy kick up?
