A Love Story that Starts In Clearwater, Florida, and How it Turns into A Boudoir Photo Session

Sometimes the world we live in is a very strange place. I would have thought the story I am about to tell you would have been plastered all over the local newspapers and media, but I haven’t been able to get anything published other than flyers from Brandon Parker, at MarsFlyers.com. Brandon is one of many people who volunteered his time, resources, and energy in getting this project off the ground.  He very generously did this the night before he was getting ready to leave for his vacation. Brandon, I did not have a chance to thank you properly, so here it is. THANK YOU BRANDON PARKER. MARSFLYERS.COM IS LUCKY TO HAVE YOU. I think you deserve a raise. My link to Brandon came from Ember Mac from EventsbyEmber.com.  I met Ember in October when I volunteered to do some photography work for a Pink and White Ball she was hosting/managing to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.  The Ball was held at Ruth Eckerd Hall, and Ember did a fantastic job.  Many thanks, Ember, for connecting me with Brandon.

Because I, as a writer, and as a human, for the most part, am strangely wired, much of this story will be backward. I apologize for that, but I promise, if you follow carefully, you will understand. If you don’t, please feel free to email me at any time. This is a love story, after all, and I am forever grateful to everyone who has played any part in it. If you are reading this now, there is still time for you to participate, and I hope you will.

I had to go to Tampa to pick up the flyers that Brandon had printed; they are beautiful, by the way, Brandon. Those of you who know me know I hate driving.  The only thing I hate more than driving is driving in Tampa.  Miracle worker #1 to the rescue!  Ginny  Geygan.  Ginny is one of two Hair and Makeup Artists working on this project.  She is 21 years old, but she is a subdued firecracker.  She makes the Energizer bunny look lazy.  Ginny drove to Tampa and we got the flyers. We were really psyched at that point. The purple flyer you may have seen advertising the Boudoir Photo Shoot is the one I am talking about.  It’s pretty, isn’t it?  We continued on to a newspaper printing company that Ginny found, and asked for the end of the large roll of paper they print the newspaper(s) on. We learned they are called “butt” rolls.  A little education never hurts. Ginny took those butt rolls home and made some incredible posters that we would later use at Bike Night at Quaker Steak & Lube on 49th Street.  They only money we have earned so far, for Canine Angels, was earned there.  A female visitor to our tent fell in love with these black and yellow shoes we brought as props. I took some pictures of her on Ginny’s black and yellow Sportster. ( Another Ginny original).  She didn’t book a full shoot, but paid us $20 for one 5x7 of herself on the bike, with the shoes.  In the end, I took many shots, edited them, and sent all of them to her. She loved them. I am hoping, lady in yellow, you love them enough to get your friends and family to call me for an appointment!  I told you we would sell those shoes to the first one who got two people to book and pay for a session.  Truth be told, if you do it, we will give you the shoes for free.  Why?  Because it is that $20 piece of hope I’m riding on.  Without you, I’d be even deeper in the red.
