Cartoon Your Pets: Illustrating Animals for a Good Cause

Have your pet illustrated by syndicated cartoonist Nate Fakes, all the while helping SPCA and other shelters with 20 percent of the profits going toward them.

A lot of photos are taken of our furry friends (or scaly fish, etc.).  However, I thought I would take it up a notch, and try my hand at illustrating pets.  Yes, something a bit different.

Why?  Well, as a syndicated cartoonist, I wanted to figure out a way to help local shelters.  So, I opened up Cartoon Your Pets.  And 20 percent of all profits are going to SPCA or shelter of customers choice.

I find it rewarding and fun to do this kind of work.  It's new to me, but so far it is going well (even without really promoting it yet).  I'm having the option of drawing your pets and having them digitally colored, watercolors and even having pets featured in their own cartoon.  A lot of other options come with this including putting your pet images on mugs, t-shirts, cards or anything.

You might know my work from the TBT with my cartoon feature, Break of Day.  I'm also one of the 'Usual Gang of Idiots' in MAD Magazine.

So, www.cartoonyourpets.com is now open.

I'm hoping to meet a lot of the public this summer and fall with events and shows. Again, this is new territory for me compared to my syndicated cartoons.  But, rewarding indeed!

Your pets will love it!  (At least I like to think so.)
