Pinellas County Extension offering a variety of programs in September

September is almost here.  The kids are back in school, the summer tourists have mostly gone home, and gee, is that a tiny hint of coolness in the evening air?  As we collectively shake off the inertia of summer and get busy with school and work, Pinellas County Extension Service is ramping up its fall calendar of events.  In fact, Extension just revamped its event registration site, making it easier than ever to view their programs and to register for those that strike your fancy.

Here’s a sampling of offerings during September:

  • Guided hikes at and
  • Eco-classes about , , , , and
  • at the Florida Botanical Gardens
  • Volunteer Opportunity (on National Estuaries and Public Lands Day)

To sign up for these and other events, visit www.pinellascounty.org and click the Registration page for easy-to-follow prompts to the calendar of events and classes held at Extension offices in Largo, Weedon Island Preserve in St. Pete, and  Brooker Creek Preserve in Tarpon Springs.
