Morton Plant Mease Offering Free Sports Physicals to Pinellas County Student-Athletes

Morton Plant Mease physicians, certified athletic trainers and physical therapists will provide Pinellas County high school student-athletes free athletic physicals as a service to the community. The exams include checks of height, weight, blood pressure, vision, lungs and musculoskeletal system. The Morton Plant Mease Lung Center will also be on hand to offer students information on managing asthma symptoms. If a student is found to have a medical condition and needing additional treatment, the student will be referred to a Morton Plant Mease specialist at a later date.

The exams done by Morton Plant Mease are complimentary, however, a fee may be required by some schools to support their booster clubs. Student-athletes who plan to attend without a parent, will need to bring a signed parent consent registration form.

All student athletes are required by the Florida High School Athletic Association to complete a physical evaluation before participating in high school sporting activities.
