The Pinellas County Democratic Party is pleased to feature several experts on ACA to answer those questions at its next monthly meeting, Thursday, September 26.

Featured speakers are Dr. Mona Mangat, who will give a presentation on enrollment in the Health care Market Place, Dr. Christine Laramee, who will speak about the history of health care reform and why it is so important for everyone, and Dr. Lawrence Floriani, who will dispel some of the more bizarre health care myths, rumors and fear mongering by ACA opponents.

In discussing the issue, Pinellas Party Chair Mark Hanisee said, "There are 60 million Americans without any health care, and Florida ranks second behind Texas with those who have none at all. The ACA can remedy this crisis. On October 1, 2013 every American will be given the opportunity to enroll in this new program.  As Democrats concerned for all Americans, it is our duty -as a party- to see that we support and promote this program so everyone will have the ability to enjoy quality health care."

The Pinellas Democratic Executive Committee’s monthly meeting is open to all registered Democrats and the general public, space permitting.  It starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 26th at the St. Petersburg Marriott Hotel, 12600 Roosevelt Blvd N, St. Petersburg, Florida 33716.
