Free Sudoku-Crossword-Word Seek Puzzle Party for Seniors!

STUDIES SHOW THAT WORKING WITH WORD PUZZLES INCREASES MENTAL ACUITY AMONG SENIORS, BUT AS A SOLITARY ACTIVITY, ALL BENEFITS ARE
LOST … AND A PUZZLE REMAINS AS JUST THAT - A

PUZZLE.

Senior Citizens Services offers the perfect forum for seniors to get together, play and understand all kinds of puzzles – including Sudoku, Crosswords and Word Seek. Cheri McKee, Publisher of “The Puzzle Pages”will be on hand to reveal secrets and tricks of the trade.

Clearwater’s Senior Citizens Services is hosting a Free
Puzzle Party on site at 1204 Rogers Street, Clearwater, Florida 33756 at 10:30 am, on Wednesday August 14. Please
R.S.V.P. to expand your mind and sharpen memory & cognition skills in a fun and stimulating group
session. Call 727.442.8104 to reserve your spot, free parking. All seniors are encouraged to attend, the Puzzle
Party is a Free Event.

Cheri will guide the group with her insights; secrets and skills in making the most intricate puzzle a snap! Learn Alligator Sudoku, Word Seek, Cryptoquote, Binaro, Trivia, Code Cracker, Word Search, Super Crosswords and more in a senior friendly, fun and easy paced session.

In a December 8, 2010 CBS article called “How Doing Puzzles

“…There was a major paper published that said seniors whoengaged in things like cards, crosswords, going out with friends for lunch, helped maintain memory and cognition, better than people who don’t know how to interact. The low-tech stuff is very important, even if it’s just going out to lunch at the diner – that human interaction is critical.

In general, puzzles are great, but human interaction is much

more helpful. Get out of the house and interact with people at the library, the store, the senior center…”

We think so too. “The Puzzle Pages” is a 100% local business supporting the local senior community in partnership with SCS by getting seniors up and out of their homes for a free, stimulating and fun experience.
