Just in time for Thanksgiving and harvest, learn about the history of that southern delight, the sweet potato.  An established cooking instructor, Chef Michael Webb will explain how the sweet potato got to Florida, how well it grows in our Community Garden, and when to plant and when to harvest.  Attendees will then be taken through the preparation of three recipes:

  • Appetizer  Baked Sweet Potato Chips, Lemon and Thyme Scented Chevre and Mascarpone Mousse

  • Side Dish  Broiled Sweet Potato Chunks, Fresh Garden Herbs, Local Bee Branch Creek Apiary Honey

  • Dessert  Frozen Pumpkin Mousse with Toasted Walnut Toffee Crunch
