An enticing array of timeless favorites from Mediterranean Rim countries featured on the prix fixe menu invite you to savor the culinary heritage of that region. For a more modern interpretation of that cuisine, select from the full dinner menu of Carmel Café’s signature Mod Med dishes.
Inspired by the foods and flavors of Mediterranean coastal countries like Italy, Spain, France, Greece and Morocco, Carmel Café Executive Chef Steve Cook designed the Valentine’s menu to offer guests a variety of tantalizing courses that include soup, salads, fresh seafood, succulent beef and tender veal.
Make reservations now to enjoy the three-course, prix fixe menu that is featured for a limited time Feb. 14 – 16 for $29.95 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Three wines selected to pair well with the menu will also be offered for a special value price and will be available by the glass or by the bottle.
Valentine’s Celebration Prix Fixe Menu
First Course: Mod Med Appetizer Sampler, a delicious variety of award-winning Mediterranean small plates
Second Course (Choice of one):
Lobster Bisque, kissed with Amontillado Spanish sherry
Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella Salad with fresh baby arugula
House Field Greens Salad or Black Olive Caesar Salad
Third Course (Choice of one):
Veal Osso Buco slow-braised in natural jus, topped with orange gremolata and served with grilled polenta cake
Shrimp served with vegetable couscous
Parmesan Crusted Sole served with lemon, caper butter sauce and fresh vegetable medley
Steak Madeira, 10-ounce New York Strip served with portabella Madeira sauce and parsnip mashed potatoes
Wines offered at a special price, by the glass and bottle, are Mumm Napa Brut Rose, Ferrari-Carano Chardonney and Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Pinot Noir.
Reservations are recommended and are now available at all Carmel Café restaurants. In addition to the Valentine’s prix fixe menu offered Feb. 14 - 16, the full dinner menu will also be available.

Carmel Café’s signature cuisine is described as Mod Med, a modern interpretation of foods and flavors traditionally associated with Mediterranean countries. The menu includes seasonal dishes that highlight produce and other ingredients when they are freshest and most flavorful.
In addition to enjoying the Mod Med cuisine served exclusively at Carmel Café & Wine Bar, diners may choose from a global selection of wines designed to easily mix and match with the menu. Wines can also be customized according to serving size, with many available in three-, six- and nine-ounce pours or by the bottle. The full service bar also offers specialty cocktails and mixed drinks.
Customized MenuPads placed at diners’ fingertips offer an inviting, interactive way to view images and descriptions of each dish, learn about wines from around the world, create pairings based on personal preferences or control the pacing of food and wine orders.
