Rolling Stones in Clearwater: Unseen Photos Surface

A new exhibition will showcase some rare photos of the Rolling Stones in Clearwater during their 1965 American tour, ABC News reports.

The photos, which were recently discovered in an unmarked box at a Southern California estate sale, are being shown to the public for the first time, according to ABC. They include images of Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman relaxing poolside at the Manger Motor Lodge in the spring of '65. The photographer is unknown.

Stones guitarist Keith Richards also wrote the legendary riff for "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" that year in his room at Clearwater's Jack Tar Harrison Hotel — now the Fort Harrison — following a concert at Jack Russell Stadium, according to this St. Petersburg Times story from 2000.

The song went on to become the British band's first No. 1 hit in the United States and is considered to be among the greatest rock songs of all time.
