Nearly 100 longboarders took to the street to celebrate "Go Longboard Day" in July, prompting a police response. The event was not permitted by the city and the street was open creating a safety hazard as participants skated while cars drove to Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure at the Harborview Center.
