Investment Group Behind Ceviche Announces New Management, New Restaurant Concept, and Clearwater Closure

Tampa, Fla. (June 25, 2013) – Caledon Concept Partners, Inc. (“CCP”), local owner of Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant, announces the hiring of Joseph W. Floyd as their new Director of Operations. Mr. Floyd has previously managed operations for distinguished restaurant organizations such as the Stephen Starr Restaurant Group and Smith & Wollensky Steakhouses. Joe Floyd will oversee all operations of the multi-‐unit and soon to be multi-‐ concept restaurant group.

"I am very excited about moving from Philadelphia to Tampa Bay and becoming a part of this innovative group of restaurants. Ceviche will continue to strive to be known as Tampa Bay's restaurant of choice for years to come," stated Mr. Floyd.

The new team will be opening a much-‐needed steakhouse in downtown St. Petersburg later this summer. A name for the steakhouse has not yet been announced, but it will be located on 2nd Avenue South, just off the popular 600 Block of Central Avenue.

“It’s an incredibly exciting new concept,” said Floyd. “The multi-‐million dollar, 9500 square foot build-‐out, designed by Tampa’s well-‐known Urban Studio Architects, will bring an entirely new scene to downtown St. Petersburg. The steak-‐centric cuisine is also entirely new. Executive Chef Richard Potts has relocated from the Sorrel River Ranch Resort in Moab, Utah to lead the culinary team.”

CCP also announced it will be closing its Ceviche Clearwater, Florida, location on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Ceviche Clearwater will celebrate the last night of service with complimentary sangria and a silent auction of select historic Spanish memorabilia. The entire auction proceeds will benefit the Shriner’s Hospital of Tampa Bay. CCP purchased the building

located at 2930 Gulf to Bay Blvd, formally known as Tio Pepe restaurant, in April 2010. In January of this year, significant interest from buyers prompted CCP to list the property for sale and negotiations are ongoing.

CCP’s management continually looks for opportunities and has stated that they are considering a Ceviche Clearwater location closer to the beach or downtown.

Ceviche's other restaurants are located in more active, urban areas. They operate on Church Street in downtown Orlando, Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg, in the SOHO district of South Tampa, and most recently in Delray Beach, just off trendy Atlantic Avenue.

“Ceviche has always been known as a trendsetter in dining. We began serving tapas long before any other local restaurants. While continuing to add new and exciting tapas items, we are also looking for unique areas of opportunity within the Tampa Bay dining scene," stated Joe Orsino, CEO.
