Whole Foods Construction At Countryside Mall Starts

Work has started to bring a Whole Foods Market to space at Countryside Mall.

Construction of a Whole Foods Market at Countryside Mall is underway.

Crews worked to add beams that will be part of the project to slice a 38,000-square foot grocery store in space shared with Sears recently.

When complete, the Sears south entrance near BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse and the service and merchandise pick-up entrances on the north part of the building would remain. New facades will clearly show the split.

Whole Foods customers would be able to access the store from the west entrance of Sears. There would not be an entry to the grocery store from inside the mall.

The natural foods grocer is expected to open in 2014.
