A good list for sure but we would elevate Clear Sky Cafe to #1. Their food always seems to be excellent. We had Christmas Dinner there this past December and it was way beyond our expectations. Palm Pavilion should have made the list also? That's our 2 cents. -John & Niki, snowbirdrvtrails.com

Cooters should have made the list. Best local hang out on Mondays and Tuesdays for all you can eat crab legs. I also agree that Palm Pavilion should be on it too.

I can't disagree with any of these restaurants being on this list, yet I missed seeing Palm Pavilion which is always a crowd favorite. I noticed how the lowest rated #10 had am 84% popularity, so obviously there's plenty of room for top-quality choices if the list was expanded to the top 20. Clearwater Beach is rich in great restaurants!

ClearSky Beachside Cafe is the best on the beach. For those who think the Palm Pavilion should be, I could not disagree more. They lost my business when I was sitting there one evening eating dinner with guests and a kitchen worker came out and lifted and closed the table umbrella over us and our food. Needless to say I could not eat after that and complained and the explaination was they took them down so we could see the sunset. I could see it fine with it up and looed over and Rock-a-ways umbrellas were still up. At least wait until the table is empty!

ClearSky is the best, have eaten there a number of times, food is great and the staff is always nice and service is great. The music after 7:pm is a plus also. Very good value for the fine quality of food.

JERRY,I AGREE CLEARSKY IS VERY NICE,BUT AT LEAST THEY COULD HAVE PUT CRABBY BILLS ON THE LIST,AM FROM SCHENECTADY,NY AND I WAS THERE IN 2012 FOR VACATION AND PLAN ON RELOCATING TO CLEARWATER AREA,AND LOVE MOST OF THE BEACH EATING PLACES.

Palm Pavilion should be on the list. It's great place to eat and watch the sunset on the beach.

Don't forget about the new guys on Mandalay Ave, Cork N Brew Bistro. There's some great food and desserts there!

You all missed one of the the best. The bait house at the end of the marina. The best for less and coldest beer in town. I feel its inThe the top 5. Also all frenchy's are not created equal. Shouldn't have all 3 in top 10. Those who voted didn't try. I promise. I suggest you start with the clam chowder. Then cedar key clams. Have fresh catch of the day or the black and blue burger. I forgot to mention the smoked fish dip and peel and eat shrimp. No I don't work there. Captain Ron from Nashville Tenn. Try it you will LOVE it.

Why aren't the highest percent in descending order?
Jason Bartolone April 18, 2013 at 10:19 PM
Hey Ryan - Urbanspoon's rankings are done not just on the percentage of favorable ratings by their users (whether they "like" a restaurant or don't "like" it) but also by actual written reviews by critics and diners. It's a combination of all of those.
