The Pub Crawler: Buffalo Wild Wings

The Clearwater branch of this national franchise offers all the sports bar staples, plus a whole lot more.

When you think of sports bars, you usually think of three things: beer, wings and flat screen TVs.

When you visit the Buffalo Wild Wings at 21688 US 19 N, located in the same parking lot as , not only do you get those sports bar staples, but you get them in original ‘BW3’style.

This franchise, one of more than 700 in the country, features 45 televisions, including eight with massive 10 foot screens; 14 different wing sauces; 40 different beers, including a dozen craft brews; and so many interactive games, specials and contests that every member of the family can enjoy their time.

Some of the activities include game day specials during football season such as free beer until the first team scores or free beer until kickoff. Daily happy hour offerings include  2-for-1 domestic pints, well drinks and wine and 2-for-1 appetizers from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to close.

But don’t be concerned that football season is over. With the Phillies/Threshers serving as next door neighbors, BW3 has a slew of baseball-related specials as well, including ticket giveaways, jersey raffles and food deals.

There’s the prize wheel, where winners receive anything from a free beer or tee shirt to free wings for a year. There also is the ever-popular Flip for Your Tab. On Mondays parties of six or more can get their entire bill paid for simply by guessing right on heads or tails.

As if all those things weren’t enough to keep patrons entertained, there’s also karaoke on Fridays, group trivia on Tuesdays, crane games, Golden Tee, video lawn darts and cornhole and even Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em robots.

“We want you to get engaged with the entertainment that we have at our restaurant,” Montgomery said proudly.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention how deeply involved they are in the community, hosting fundraisers, sponsoring charity events like Dining and Donate, and supporting local teams at .

They also have free WiFi.
